Following the AGM held on 4th June at the Memorial Hall and
attended by over 100 Shareholders, the RCCBS Management
Committee were pleased to announce we have new Tenants for
The Chequers and the Tenancy Agreement was signed on 1st June
2025.

The Management Committee were delighted to be able to introduce
Sam & David at the end of the meeting and it was wonderful to have so many people introducing themselves and welcoming them to the village.

It has been a very long process and the Committee wishes to thank
everyone for their patience, but we think it has been worth the wait to
get the right people, Sam & David have our 100% support and we wish
them every success for their future in The Chequers.

A message from the new Tenants Sam and David

First and foremost, we’d like to thank the entire community for
creating something truly special. It’s an absolute privilege to have
been chosen as the new tenants of The Chequers Pub.
We’re thrilled to be bringing a great selection of beers, lagers, wines –
and much more – to The Chequers. In time, we’ll also be serving
delicious home-cooked food, including our signature Sunday roast,
which we can’t wait for you to try.

We’re really looking forward to getting to know you all, building lasting
relationships, and creating new traditions that the whole village can
enjoy and be proud of. If all goes to plan, we hope to have The
Chequers’ doors open before the end of June.
