OUR STORY OF THE CHEQUERS INN
The Chequers Inn has been the country pub at the heart of Roxwell for over 250 years. We want it remain here – now and for generations to come.
The Roxwell Chequers Community Benefit Society was formed to save The Chequers and secure its long term future. The photos above show supporters outside the pub on 9th August 2022 (left) when we launched our pledge campaign and then on 13th April 2024 (right) when we put up the sold sign.
In June 2025, it was announced that we have new tenants, Sam & David, on board to re-open the Chequers. We opened again on 28th June.
